Duck jug is a Victorian silver novelty

Modelled as a rearing duck, this late Victorian silver and clear-glass novelty claret jug will be included in Golding Young & Mawer’s sale in Grantham, Lincolnshire on January 9.

By Alexander Crichton, London and bearing a registration mark October 1st 1881, the 14in (35.5cm) high piece is estimated at £18,000-22,000.
