Flood delays Steven B. Bruce sale

03 December 2012Written by ATG Reporter

Steven B. Bruce of Warwickshire have postponed their December sales following the latest in an unfortunate series of events which have disrupted their sales programme.

ATG readers may remember that two years ago the auctioneers were forced to postpone their sale because of snow, only to have to cancel the rescheduled auction when someone drove into the nearby gas main on the morning it was due to be held and everybody had to be evacuated from the vicinity of Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse.

This time the racecourse has been flooded, as has The Paddock Suite, the sale venue at the course.

"All we need now is famine and pestilence and we'll have had the complete set," a company spokesman told ATG.

The flooding means the December 7 toy sale and the December 8 antiques and collectors sale have been postponed until Friday, January 11 at 2pm and Saturday, January 12 at 10am respectively.
