Students get creative to help West Dean

30 April 2012Written by ATG Reporter

STUDENTS from West Dean College near Chichester will offer their work at auction to raise funds to supplement the college’s bursary and scholarship schemes.

The students, who are on the full-time Conservation and Making programmes in metals, clocks, musical instruments, furniture, books and ceramics, have been working on a series of specially created pieces to go under the hammer at Bellmans Auctioneers in West Sussex on May 23-25.

The auction house have agreed to waive their commission to help the cause.

The picture here shows West Dean College ceramics student Ben Daniel with some of his work due to be auctioned at Bellmans.
