Two new fairs for Arthur Swallow

01 June 2010Written by ATG Reporter

ARTHUR Swallow Fairs, organisers of the giant antiques and collectors’ event at the Lincolnshire Showground, will launch two new fairs this year.

They plan a monthly event at Donington Park and a specialist fair for restoration and architectural salvage at the Great Yorkshire Showground, near Harrogate.

The first event at Donington Park in Derby is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24, with follow-up events on September 21 and October 19.

There will be no admission fee for buyers.

The Home Restoration and Salvage Show – which will inevitably be compared to the Salvo Fair at Knebworth (June 25-27) – is a two-day fair on the weekend of September 11-12. Admission will be £5 on each day.

The next event at the Lincolnshire Showground will be on June 8-9.

More details will appear in a future issue.
