Giovanni Mellone, 52, was charged with 12 counts of fraud and two counts of theft at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 21. He was remanded in custody to appear at the crown court at an as-yet unknown date and location.
As reported in last week’s ATG, the arrest followed an alert made to police after a man entered ceramics dealer Brian Haughton’s gallery in Duke Street.
