Simon Cottle, their director of continental ceramics and glass, has been appointed to the UK board, taking on extra responsibility for building European business.
Previously head of European ceramics and glass at Sotheby’s, he is also the author of several major reference books.
He is joined on the board by Robin Hereford, director for valuations, who joined the company in 2007 and has been concentrating on building their private client base as well as on attracting single-owner collections, corporate and institutional collections.
There’s a promotion, too, for Antony Bennett, currently managing director of Chester, who becomes deputy chairman, England and Wales.
