Revamp for St Ives studios

23 November 2009Written by ATG Reporter

THE St Ives studio that housed Sir Terry Frost, Peter Blake and Francis Bacon has won a £900,000 restoration grant.

The money will be used to create new studios and refurbish two fishermen’s cellars at St Ives’ Porthmeor Studios.

It comes from the Sea Change initiative, which focuses on reviving rundown coastal resorts through culture and heritage.
