Reindeer Centre up and running

05 January 2005Written by ATG Reporter

SOME months ago I reported that Reindeer Antiques from Northamptonshire were planning a Reindeer Antiques Centre. That is now up and running and officially opened to the public on January 2.

Owned by John Butterworth, and established for more than 30 years, Reindeer are well known for their stock of English period furniture.

The centre is a new project for the dealership although it is situated alongside the Reindeer showrooms, housed in a 17th century former coaching inn set in extensive grounds off the A5 at Potterspury, just a short drive from Central Milton Keynes.

The opening stock is varied with a number of Steiff teddy bears priced up to £500 and, on a local note, a pair of overmantel mirrors in the neoclassical style from the 1866 inventory at Woburn Abbey. The mirrors cost £3950.

The new centre is open seven days a week and the manager can be contacted on 01908 542200.
