With affiliated groups in America and Australia, each of around 500 members, and another in New Zealand, plainly there is a world of interest for the English Shelley Group to draw on when they stage their annual Shelley Collectors Fair at The Marriott Courtyard Hotel, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry, on Sunday October 7.
More than 30 specialist dealers will be there, selling what must be the most concentrated selection of Shelley anywhere. Knowledgeable group members will be happy to answer visitors’ questions about the history of the china and there are specialist publications on the Shelley bookstall.
The fair is open for just three hours from 2pm, with free admission for group members and £2 entry for others. The organisers emphasise there is no early trade entry.

FOUNDED in 1986, the Shelley Group is a collectors’ society dedicated to amassing and appreciating the china products made in Fenton, Staffordshire by the Wileman and Shelley companies during the 19th and 20th centuries.
