On February 5 Swann of New York hold a 360-lot sale of Vintage Posters, many of them on a skiing theme, then on the 26th Christie’s South Kensington hold a 420-lot sale of posters, all on the subject of skiing.
From the latter comes this lithographic poster for Gauloises by Jean Gueillet, printed by Klausfelder and measuring 4ft 21/2in x 2ft 111/2in (1.29m x 90cm). Its estimate is £300-500.
