Oliver Strebel-Ritter and Peter Card, who resigned from Coys to establish the new firm, have over 35 combined years of auction house experience in the niche categories of model and toy cars, automobilia, transport ephemera and Formula One memorabilia. Both worked at Brooks and then Bonhams before joining Coys in 2002.
With plans for sales both in the UK and abroad, their knowledge of the international market – particularly the American and Middle Eastern buyers that are strong buyers in this field – is something they hope to use in the new venture.

Coys experts go it alone
TRANSPORT Collector Auctions is the name of a new specialist auction house that has opened in Richmond, Surrey. The limited company, run by the two former automobilia specialists at Coys, has its first sale at Brooklands on February 12, 2005.
