Pratt is used to performing – either at auction or on TV with appearances in BBC’s Bargain Hunt and Flog It! – but now he is ready for his most theatrical performance yet.
Having recently moved back to the village of West Meon in Hampshire after a seven-year hiatus, Pratt felt he needed to find ways to get to know the newer neighbours in the community that he had not yet met.
One of his four children, Esme, aged 15, had expressed an interest in acting and so getting involved with the local theatre was a perfect opportunity. But after the first meeting Pratt and Esme’s brother Rafferty had also signed up. They will all be part of West Meon Theatre’s production of TOAD this summer.
Pratt will perform two roles: police sergeant and Wild Wooder.

On celebrating 30 years of community theatre, founder Mary Dawson said: “It’s exciting and rather unbelievable.
I had no real idea where it was all going when I started in 1993 – just that I had always wanted to create a community theatre group in the village … it was a bit of a dream.” The performances take place on July 5-8 at The Meon Hall, Pound Lane, Meonstoke, Hampshire.
