1. An ocean going Racing Yawl, The Leah by AK Blanden – few details are available about the artist but the 22in x 2ft 8in (56 x 81cm) oil on canvas dated c.1900 had previously sold through Frost & Reed. It overshot a £600-800 estimate.
2. Selling at a top-estimate £1200 was a view of Poole by William Edward Webb (c.1862-1903). The signed 12in x 2ft (30 x 61cm) oil on canvas had some recent damage but, with a good subject of the south coast harbour, it achieved a mid-range price for the artist.
3. A small river landscape by John Glover (1767-1849) looked good value, selling at £220 (est: £200-300). The 3 x 5½in (8 x 14cm) pen, ink and wash had provenance to the Maas gallery and was offered along with a study of a French château.
