Mark Law

Mark Law is a ceramics specialist and former auctioneer who started in the antiques business as a porter at Dreweatts in 1984, becoming a partner at the age of 30. Under his direction Dreweatts acquired the venerable Bruton Street ceramics dealership Albert Amor which he took with him in when he left Dreweatts and formed Law Fine Art in 2000.

In 2005, he took over another longstanding dealership, Partridge Fine Art with fellow board members Christopher Jemmett and David Mellor. The business later went into administration in 2009.

Mark Law’s agreed a deal to buy auction firm Dreweatts and the Mallett brand from stamp dealer group Stanley Gibbons in 2017. The deal later collapsed and Dreweatts was later sold to new owners.
