She spent six years working in the jewellery department at Bonhams. Her academic background includes the Gemological Institute of America and a postgraduate degree from the University of St Andrews. Her professional interests include posy rings and British jewellery designers of the 1970s.
MELLORS & Kirk has appointed Richard Harrison as senior auctioneer and valuer.
Having joined Sworders in 2002 from Mitchells in Cockermouth, he brings to Mellors & Kirk a specialist knowledge of Asian art gained while heading the Asian art department under the tutelage of BBC Antiques Roadshow expert David Battie.
Harrison also had the opportunity to combine his interest and enthusiasm for coins and medals by heading that department.
