Iain Patterson, whose stage name is John Patterson said: “I have always been an avid collector of antiques, particularly 20th century glass and ceramics – Clarice Cliff is a favourite as I love the Art Deco period.

“When work stalled during lockdown, I launched an online antiques business and took a cabinet at The Emporium in Hampton Court near where I live.”

Patterson added: “Online sales are going well, as is the centre’s cabinet plus my private customers.”

As John Patterson, his 25-year career includes television work such as The Intern (Channel 4) and New Tricks (ITV) and he is the artistic director of the fringe Angel Theatre Company. When theatres closed due to Covid-19 he organised and directed Sundays in the Park With Angel, a series of workshops which took place in London parks during summer 2020.
