Former London fine art dealer Ian Godfrey Appleby sadly died on January 24, in St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands at the age of 92, after complications following breaking his hip.

David was a well-known dealer in the antique ceramic world. He exhibited at the second ever Antiques for Everyone at the Birmingham NEC and every one after until his retirement. He became a vetter and remained so until his last fair.

It was with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of our gallery founder and friend, Robert Stoppenbach, on December 26.

My dad, known affectionately as Willie, died suddenly on November 9, 2020, the last in the line of three siblings, leaving behind Marian, his wife of 68 years, two children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren – he was much blessed.
