Australian auction house Mossgreen was founded in 2004 by Paul Sumner and Amanda Swanson, later merging with Charles Leski in 2013. With headquarters in Melbourne, it also operated premises in Sydney and Auckland with representatives in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Perth and London.

The firm went into administration in December 2017.

Mossgreen will be offering one of the most talked about items of the year at their forthcoming sale in Melbourne. The auction will feature this elaborately carved and inlaid cradle made for Princess Helena, Queen Victoria’s fifth child.
