Other major galleries to join the fair for its sixth edition from June 25 to July 1 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea include modern and contemporary design specialist David Gill Galleries (UK); Parisian decorative arts dealer, Kraemer Gallery (their first London fair); jewellers Van Cleef & Arpels (France); Swiss art dealer Jacques de la Béraudière and Milanese design gallery Nilufar.

Jonathan Green, CEO of Richard Green, said: "We have been watching this fair since it began, taking over the helm from Grosvenor House after it closed, and have been impressed with the way it has brought many of the characteristics of successful international art, antiques and luxury fairs together under one roof.

"A first class fair in London at the height of the summer season is just what the market needs."

Stronger Offering

Nazy Vassegh, CEO of Masterpiece London, told ATG that she was thrilled by the new additions to the fair: "The last fair was the strongest yet, with £100m worth of sales reported. Now five years old, Masterpiece has come of age and this is reflected in these new exhibitors."

In its formative years, like many young fairs Masterpiece had a high turnover of exhibitors, but that appears to have settled: "Although for 2015 we have a few very good galleries joining, we also have a high rate of returning dealers, which always makes me sleep better at night!" said Ms Vassegh.

Promoting cross-collecting and strengthening the fair's offering across all categories to create a "truly multi-disciplinary art fair" has been central to her aims over the past couple of years.

"We have to constantly evolve as an art fair, we cannot stand still in such a competitive marketplace."
