We are looking for an experienced valuer to join our thriving picture department, primarily focussing on Old Master Paintings, British and European Art. The successful candidate should have a minimum of three-five years valuation experience in either the auction business or similar service.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the operations relating to Old Master, British and European Art auctions
• Provide valuation and auction advice, either in person or via online requests and undertake visits to client properties, where appropriate
• Research, catalogue, and condition report items for auction
• Develop business contacts and foster client relationships to enhance business
• Provide materials for social media campaigns, writing blogs and internet content
to enhance online visibility

Essential skills
• A good knowledge of Old Master Paintings, British and European Art
• A minimum of three years valuation experience
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Client focused with a drive to deliver excellent customer service
