A new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Gallery
Assistant Manager to join our friendly team in Petworth, West Sussex. The full-time position offers a chance to be a key contributor to an exciting exhibition programme and further development.

The role involves:
Working closely with our curatorial team, nurturing existing client relationships and establishing new ones, driving sales, managing catalogue production to tight deadlines, handling logistical issues, exhibition de-installation, exhibition openings and presentations / talks, inventory management, handling artist contracts and consignment agreements, assisting in daily running of the space and being prepared to generally assist the team.

Three to four years’ experience of working in either an auction house or with a commercial gallery. Preferably with knowledge of Art History to degree level (or equivalent), excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), exceptionally organised, creative and a good team player. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, including Excel and Desktop Publishing, would be very advantageous; together with a knowledge of Filemaker. Familiarity with commercial social media skills would also be helpful, particularly Instagram.

Any applicants should understand that the gallery will be open seven days a week, and whilst they will be required to work only five days a week, this
will include some weekends.
