The bowl is dated 1720 and signed AR on the base for Adriaan (van) Rijsselberg of the De Grieksche A factory.
The blue and white decoration with its intricate scrolls of acanthus and other foliage, masks and half figures is described as being in the style of Daniel Marot (1661-1752), the French Huguenot architect, engraver and designer who also worked in Holland and England and whose designs were influential across a wide range of media.
The interior of the bowl features a musician playing an instrument and a figure of a dancing jester or dwarf.
It sold for €14,000 (£12,175) in the auction of Asian, European and Islamic works of art on June 28-30 against a guide of €3000-6000.
