Bainbridge Adam Partridge

Bainbridges is an auction house in West Ruislip. It is now known as Bainbridge Adam Partridge after it was acquired by Macclesfield-based firm Adam Partridge.

The saleroom was established in 1986 by Peter Bainbridge, who ran the west London auction house with his wife Jane, a former cataloguer at Sotheby’s, until he retired in 2023. Bainbridge famously discovered a Chinese vase from a flat in Pinner during a house clearance in 2010 which went on to sell at auction for £43m. It became the subject of a long-running non-payment dispute which was eventually settled in 2013.
