Cut-price light bulbs to ease fears over EU
20 July 2009
OVER the past year, dealers have voiced fears that a proposed European Union Directive banning energy inefficient incandescent light bulbs could seriously damage the trade in antique lighting.

Now Stewart Oliver of the Norfolk-based company Oliver Lamps is offering all ATG subscribers a 15 per cent discount on his range of Halogen Energy Saving Lamps.

The bulbs come in all classic light bulb shapes, appear identical to standard incandescent bulbs, are dimmable and fit into all old fittings – and they fit the EU’s new regulations.

The halogen bulbs last for 2000 hours, twice as long as ordinary bulbs, are 30 per cent more energy efficient and, unlike fluorescent bulbs, produce a flicker-free light.
