Stolen
Volunteer jailed for stolen medals
01 December 2008
A VOLUNTEER at the Royal Signals Regiment Museum in Blandford, Dorset, has been jailed for 12 months for stealing £33,000 of medals and selling them on eBay.

Michael Bray, 49, from Bournemouth, who worked at the army museum for five months last year and who had debt problems, replaced the war decorations in their display cabinets with fakes.

The theft came to light when a potential buyer was offered a set of medals sold on eBay. The police traced the eBay sale to the museum volunteer.
