Organiser John Andrews said: “As well as selling at the fair and valuing items, Neil will be taking in items for his next sale in the autumn.”
He added: “The ATG is read by a lot of general dealers or specialists in other areas, many of whom might have old tackle buried among their stock, and it’s well worth making a trip to the fair at Redditch to have their items valued.”
The National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair selling, well, tackle, along with books and ephemera, takes place on Sunday, May 15 at the Kingsley Sports Centre, in the Warwickshire town of Redditch, often described as “the spiritual home of British tackle” on account of the numbers of reel manufacturers once based there.
