The signed 2ft 10in x 2ft 1in (87 x 65cm) lithograph printed in colour is from an edition of 35 and is one of 51 lots being offered to aid Elephant Haven in their attempt to raise £350,000 in funding to establish Europe's first elephant sanctuary in the South of France.
The sale will include pictures donated by the artists themselves and also by a number of galleries.
The opening lot is a work by urban artist Dom Pattinson (b.1969) which has been donated by Zebra 1 Gallery in Hampstead. Entitled Irrelephant, the 13/3/4 x 153/4in (35 x 40cm) signed screenprint is estimated at £1000-1500. A work by the artist was apparently purchased by George Clooney as a wedding gift for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The auction will be held on June 9 at the library at 112 St. Martin's Lane, London. Many of the lots are being sold without reserve.
