Discovered in a pile of objects waiting to be tipped at a routine house clearance, a pair of large ceramic plaques will be offered at Gary Don in Leeds this week.
Measuring 22in (56cm) in diameter, the Arts & Crafts style plaques will be auctioned without reserve.
With markings to the reverse, research is ongoing to determine the artist/maker although Gary believes they are continental.
The sale will take place on March 24.
