Art Antiques London to host interview with Duke of Devonshire

20 March 2014Written by Anna Brady

The Duke of Devonshire has agreed to be the first subject of a wide-ranging series of interviews to be launched at this year’s ‘Art Antiques London’.

Created under the title Face To Face in tribute to the landmark 1950/60s TV series, the interview will be conducted by Dame Rosalind Savill, the world-renowned British art and museum curator who retired as the director of the Wallace Collection in 2011.

In Conversation with the Duke of Devonshire will focus on how the duke and duchess have overseen the evolution of Chatsworth in the past decade, notably in building a collection of Contemporary sculpture to complement the stately home setting, as well as looking at the individual contribution of each generation in making Chatsworth what it is today.

Sponsored by 1stdibs, the interview will take place at 4pm on Monday, June 16, at the fair in Kensington Gardens.
