Fellows are currently sponsoring a museum exhibition and an Egyptologist at the museum has interpreted the hieroglyphs as saying neb nefer - literally 'all good'.

They are surrounded by two images of the crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, one inverted. The brooch represents the sun at dawn in the form of the god Harmachis or Horus the Behdetdite.

The estimate is £400-600. The sale takes place on February 13
