Collection of studio ceramics and glass in Gloucestershire

More than 1000 lots are on offer at Chorley’s two-day sale on February 20-21 at Prinknash Abbey Park, Gloucestershire.

The second day includes a large collection of studio ceramics and glass from local collectors Peter and Audrey Gibbs, amassed over many decades.

Well-known studio potters of the 20th century are represented, with pieces by Michael and Seth Cardew, David and Janet Leach and John Maltby among others.

Pictured are four bird plates made by Seth Cardew at Wenford Bridge pottery, estimated at £200-800.
