More than 2000 objects from a Dorset toy museum will come under the hammer in November.

The World of Toys collection, located in Arne, near Wareham, was put together over many years by Bryan and Iris Etches and run with a tearoom by current owners Joyce and Vassel Kosinski until it closed in 2008.

Dudley, West Midlands, auctioneers Astons will conduct the sale which includes a fine collection of Lehmann tinplate, most of it purchased at Christie's, an exceptional group of pre-War Britains military vehicles, a collection of Victorian and Edwardian dolls and in the region of 20 vintage arcade machines of various periods.

The auctioneers, who are currently undertaking a mammoth cataloguing task, expect the one-day sale on November 8 to bring in excess of £100,000.
