Ahead of the rest at Asian Art in London

This 6¾in (17cm) high, solid ivory head of the Virgin Mary, Hispano-Philippines, dating to the 17th-18th century, is the winner of the ATG Award for Asian art in London.

It was entered by Joost van den Bergh of 91c Jermyn Street, London SW1, who received the award at the November 5 ceremony at the V&A.
