Lincolnshire fair cancelled due to heavy snow

24 January 2013Written by ATG Reporter

Heavy snow and ice at the Lincolnshire showground have led to the cancellation of the Lincolnshire Antiques & Home Show scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, January 28-29.

Organisers Arthur Swallow Fairs told standholders: "We have been working to the very best of our ability this week to get the show set up but following a site inspection this afternoon because of the adverse weather, we have been strongly advised that the show must not go ahead."

All pre-booked stall payments can be carried over to future events, with the next event on April 1-2.

Meanwhile IACF, organisers of the International Antiques and Collectors' Fair at the Newark and Nottingham Showground, say their event will go ahead as planned on Thursday, January 31 to Friday, February 1. A spokesperson told ATG that the showground was in relatively good order following the winter weather.
