Shropshire auctioneers Halls’ new multi-million-pound headquarters and fine art salerooms will open for business on March 1 next year.
The company will begin moving from the Welsh
Bridge, Shrewsbury rooms to their new site in the Battlefield area
of the town in February.
The 20,000 sq ft building, next to
Shrewsbury Auction Centre, will have two fine art salerooms,
dedicated offices, storage space and 110 parking spaces.
David Giles, a director of Halls, who is
managing the project, said: "Having outgrown our offices at Welsh
Bridge, we are looking forward to moving into a modern building,
which is much more accessible to our clients.
"The move will see a major expansion
of our fine art department, with a sale calendar to match. Our
agricultural and professional departments will also expand in 2013
and there will be a natural synergy by being located on the same
site as the auction centre."
Halls' fine art directorJeremy Lamondadded: "The new facilities
will allow the fine art department to expand and offer a greater
sales programme, with more dedicated specialist sales."
