The acquisition adds a sixth event to US Antique Shows' portfolio of art, antiques and jewellery shows across America, which also includes Antique Jewelry & Watch Shows in LA, Las Vegas, New York and Miami Beach, as well as The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, the 800-dealer event running from January 31 to February 4.

The Miami National Antiques Show, now in its 36th year, is one of the longest running of the winter season Florida fairs, averaging around 150 exhibitors annually. The last fair under Dolphin Promotions took place last month and US Antique Shows will organise it for the first time from January 24-26, 2014, at the same venue, the Miami Airport Convention Center.

The deal means that US Antique Shows will be producing two large, long-running fairs in Miami back to back during this important winter season in South Florida, at which many European dealers exhibit.

Andrea Canady, US Antiques Director of Business Development, said: "Because of the Miami National show's proximity to The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, many dealers and buyers participate in both events. Producing both shows will allow us to develop more distinct and comprehensive selling opportunities for dealers, while broadening the reach for each of these two well-established events."
