The key to Malaysian bridge

14 September 2012Written by ATG Reporter

A unique ceremonial key for opening Victoria Bridge in Kuala Kangsor, Malaysia, is one of the more unusual items coming up at JP Humbert of Towcester’s September 26-27 sale.

sed in March 1900 by the Residents-General Sir Frank Swettenham and Sultan Idris Shah I, it is 7in wide (18cm), decorated with dragons and in a presentation case showing details on a silver plaque.

It is estimated at £500-800.
