A 19th century vampire-slaying kit will be just one of the unusual pieces for sale at Tennants on June 22.
The kit can be dated to a period after
Bram Stoker wrote the famous novel Dracula in 1897, which
popularised vampires and possibly brought about the production of
kits such as this one.
It includes a mahogany casket that
contains a mallet and stakes, percussion cap pistol, steel bullet
mould, rosary beads, crucifix, glass bottles and a prayerbook
dating back to 1857. Estimate: £1500-£2000.
