In keeping with this year’s jubilee celebrations, a collection of 10 photographs of King George VI and his immediate family, including Queen Elizabeth II, will be offered at Charterhouse Auctioneers on July 26-27.
The black and white prints, measuring
2½ x 3½in (6.5 x 9cm), were discovered during a house clearance
eight years ago.
Although the exact date of the
pictures is not known, they are estimated to have been taken
between 1951 and 1952, shortly before King George VI passed
