Royal Family photographs appear at Charterhouse

18 July 2012Written by ATG Reporter

In keeping with this year’s jubilee celebrations, a collection of 10 photographs of King George VI and his immediate family, including Queen Elizabeth II, will be offered at Charterhouse Auctioneers on July 26-27.

The black and white prints, measuring 2½ x 3½in (6.5 x 9cm), were discovered during a house clearance eight years ago.

Although the exact date of the pictures is not known, they are estimated to have been taken between 1951 and 1952, shortly before King George VI passed away.

Estimate £150-250.
