12 July 2012Written by ATG Reporter

Appearing in Carmarthen on July 24, this illustration of the Polish composer Frederic Chopin by author Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898) was discovered during a routine house call by auctioneers Peter Francis.

The 10in x 4in (25 x 10cm) pen and ink drawing had come to the vendor through Marc-Andrew Raffalovich, a family friend and one of Beardsley's benefactors, and his autograph is also included with the lot.

Estimate £10,000-15,000.
