New London saleroom aims to take a fresh approach

21 February 2011Written by ATG Reporter

LONDON’S newest auction house, High Road Auctions, has opened its doors at the newly refurbished venue located at 30-34 Chiswick High Road.

It adds to West London's growing status as a destination for antiques and vintage furnishings.

High Road's stated aim is to blur the lines between retail shopping and the auction experience. In addition to typical saleroom services they will be offering jewellery repair and ring re-sizing, furniture re-upholstery and restoration, oil painting restoration, general picture re-framing and clock repairs.

Customers within the M25 will be able to take advantage of same-day, one-hour delivery slots. The first in a calendar of what will initially be fortnightly sales is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22, featuring over 600 lots.

Chiswick High Road already boasts The Old Cinema antiques centre, while Chiswick Auction Rooms operate from nearby Colville Road.
