Already established as a specialist auction house - notably for toys, photographica, sporting memorabilia, jewellery, silver, coins and watches - the new ground-floor saleroom offers SAS over 500 square metres of space with movable walls for greater flexibility.

The first events at the new saleroom will be sporting memorabilia (October 28-29), with the firm hosting the 25th anniversary of the model and toy train auction, Trains Galore, on December 10.

Thomas Plant and Neil Shuttleworth acquired SAS, established by pot lids and commemoratives specialist Andrew Hilton in 2001, some four years ago but say they have outgrown their current site.

"The new premises will enable us to expand and grow many of the initiatives we have introduced - fully illustrated catalogues, live internet bidding and a dedicated specialist team."

Andrew Hilton, now trading as Historical & Collectable, continues to operate from the Kennetholme site alongside Cameo Auctions.
