THE National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) will hold its annual Forum for chattels auctioneers and valuers at The Belfry golf and leisure resort in the West Midlands on April 26.

Experts from various sectors of the auction industry will speak at the forum. Professor Patrick Minford CBE, Professor of Applied Economics at Cardiff Business School, will give his view on the aftermath of the banking crisis and what lies ahead for businesses.

Nick O’Reilly, client partner at Vantis PLC, will explain how and why insolvency practitioners choose their valuers and auctioneers, and Simon Berti, sales director at ATG Media, the forum sponsor, will give an overview of live bidding and current market trends.

John Cameron from the BBC’s Cash in the Attic will give an overview of his experiences during the making of the programme and Clive Emson will provide an insight into the life of a property auctioneer.

The Belfry is easily accessible from the M42 with ample free parking. To book a place at the forum, go to: www.nava.org.uk or contact NAVA directly on Tel: 01926 417 774 or email: info@nava.org.uk.
