Specialist auctioneer rebrands in Berkshire

09 August 2010Written by ATG Reporter

ON August 21, Andrew Hilton will host his first sale of commemoratives and pot lids under the new name of his business, Historical & Collectable.

The sale will be held as usual at Kennetholme, Midgham, near Reading, the home of Special Auction Services which was founded in 1991 by Mr Hilton.

Four years ago, Mr Hilton was joined at SAS by business partners Thomas Plant and Neil Shuttleworth, who were keen to expand into other specialist areas including toys, dolls and trains. They will continue to trade as Special Auction Services but intend to move to larger premises.

Mr Hilton's Historical & Collectable sales will be held at Midgham and other locations including a Chelsea gallery, to be announced shortly.
