The fair and seminar was the first Haughton event and eventally launched them onto the international stage, where they have become leading players on the New York fairs scene.

Art Antiques London will be held in a marquee opposite the Royal Albert Hall from June 9 to 16 and is one of the new June fairs launched in response to the passing of Grosvenor House.

The ceramics fair and seminar, with 15 exhibitors, was staged for the last time at its long-time home, The Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly, in June and was scheduled to relocate to The Mall Galleries, SW1 from June 10 to 13 next year.

However, this was before the Haughtons announced the launch of Art Antiques London two months ago.

The ceramics fair will have its own dedicated section within the new fixture and the full seminar and lecture programme will take place as usual from Thursday to Sunday. Ceramics fair regulars Errol Manners, Daniela Kumpf and Dragesco-Cramoisan have already signed up for the June fair in Kensington.

Last week Brian Haughton told ATG: “We want ICFS and the distinguished international dealers who have supported the fair and its seminar programme for 29 years to play a role in Art Antiques London, but at the same time retain its identity as a major event for ceramics dealers, collectors and academics.”
