Bonhams make musical move to Knightsbridge

01 June 2009Written by ATG Reporter

BONHAMS are moving their musical instrument department from New Bond Street to their Knightsbridge rooms.

They will continue to hold their fine musical instrument auctions at the flagship rooms and existing telephone numbers will not change, but other musical instrument auctions will now take place at the Knightsbridge site where a new office and a practice/rehearsal room has been renovated.

To mark the move on June 1 from W1 to SW7, Bonhams have launched a much broader category of sale aimed at a wider range of customers. To be titled The Music Room, it will feature a very wide range of instruments and music memorabilia.

A large collection of autographed photographs of musical celebrities and music-related books will open the inaugural sale on June 23.

A preview of forthcoming musical instrument sales in UK auction rooms appears in this week’s ATG printed newspaper. To subscribe, click here.
