This year, not far short of 6000 visited and business was deemed good by most exhibitors, all of whom were more than happy with the preview evening.

“I have attended many preview evenings but this was one of the best. The quality of customers plus interest shown was greater than usual. Spot on!” said Petworth silver specialist Nicholas Shaw, a veteran of countless London and provincial quality events.

This 41st fair was the last for long-time exhibitor Anna Fersch from Edinburgh, one of the real characters of the fixture who is well known for her stock of porcelain, cast iron, treen and pine. After 33 years with the fair, 91-year-old Anna is retiring.
