Oxfordshire pottery dealer John Howard, who specialises in Staffordshire, has an exceptionally busy 2005 lined up.
Shown right is a pair of Staffordshire pottery rabbits
munching on leaves for which he will ask around £6500 at The New
York Ceramics Fair. These animal models are particularly popular
with American collectors and interior designers.
As soon as the January 19 to 23 event finishes, he jets back to
England. Then, after packing summer clothes, he will set off back
across the Atlantic to exhibit at the Palm Beach Jewellery and
Antique Show in Florida in mid-February.
In April he is back to New York for Wendy's International Fair at
the Seventh Regiment Armory and the following month John goes to
Chicago to show at a fair at the Mart.
Not surprisingly, the dealer is keeping a stock across the
Atlantic, but he also finds the time to run his shop at Woodstock
in Oxfordshire. Oh yes, I almost forgot. As usual John Howard will
be on his stand at June's Olympia.
