Northern exposure

09 October 2003Written by ATG Reporter

CHIPPING Norton, Oxfordshire dealers Jane and Keith Riley, who trade as Key Antiques at 11 Horsefair, go back to their roots for their contribution to the Cotswolds Antique Dealers’ Association’s series of selling exhibitions.

Up North runs until October 25 and celebrates the idiosyncratic and singular antiques that over the centuries have emanated from the land that stretches from the Lake District and Lancashire in the west to Yorkshire and Derbyshire in the east.

There is much early oak furniture with distinctive carving alongside creamware and pearlware ceramics and some metalware.

As part of the same CADA celebrations, next door at 9 Horse Fair Mike Harding-Hill of Antique English Windsor Chairs offers a large selection of 18th century Windsors until the 25th.
