Making room for the Art Deco boom

28 January 2003Written by ATG Reporter

MEDIA star and Deco expert Eric Knowles officially cut the ribbon when popular Oxfordshire antiques centre The Swan at Tetsworth unveiled its new Art Deco Showroom on January 13.

Room 34 has been given over to Deco, and stocked largely by the centre’s specialist dealers Gilly and John Mott. The timing could hardly be better.

It is only a couple of months before the opening of the major Art Deco exhibition at the V&A, and since this field has been among the hottest on the international market for some time expect a lot more Decomania at shops and centres up and down the country in the near future.
